On January 27, 2025, Wainganga Incubation Foundation successfully organized the National Level Ideathon 2025 at Wainganga College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur. The event received an enthusiastic response from the startup community across the Vidarbha region, serving as a vibrant platform to promote innovation, showcase entrepreneurial ideas, and offer genuine incubation support. With 26 startups participating from various districts, three promising ventures emerged as winners, receiving cash prizes totaling up to ₹30,000. Participants also gained access to incubation support, mentorship, and networking opportunities with industry experts. The Ideathon not only spotlighted local talent but also reinforced WIF's mission to cultivate a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.

Strengthening Startup Synergies: WIF Visits IIT (ISM) Dhanbad
Wainganga Incubation Foundation’s Incubation Manager, Mr. Sachin Pandey, recently visited IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and engaged in a meaningful discussion with Dr. Akanksha Sinha, CEO of ACIC IIT ISM Foundation. The visit focused on fostering collaboration to strengthen grassroots innovation and local entrepreneurship, especially in emerging and rural regions. Key discussion areas included promoting student-led innovation, empowering local businesses, hosting grassroots startup events, and exploring joint initiatives to scale impact. The exchange marked a step toward building stronger support systems for early-stage startups, and WIF looks forward to future collaborations.
FDP on Innovation & Entrepreneurship at IIM Nagpur
From March 17 to 21, 2025, Sachin Pandey, Incubation Manager at Wainganga Incubation Foundation, attended a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Innovation & Entrepreneurship at IIM Nagpur, organized by InFED and sponsored by AICTE and MoE’s Innovation Cell. The program aimed to empower faculty members with the knowledge and tools needed to nurture student innovators and drive entrepreneurship on campus. Over five days, sessions covered key areas such as idea validation, business models, startup finance, team building, go-to-market strategies, and intellectual property. Participants also engaged in hands-on workshops, interactive discussions, and startup ecosystem visits. The program concluded with the development of institutional action plans, encouraging participants to implement entrepreneurial initiatives in their respective colleges.

WIF-Incubated Startup Shines at National Startup Day 2025
On January 16, 2025, an incubated startup from Wainganga Incubation Foundation (WIF) proudly participated in the National Startup Day 2025, hosted by the Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS). This landmark event, celebrated annually to honor the contributions of Indian startups, brought together founders, ecosystem enablers, policymakers, and innovators from across the nation. The inaugural session featured a compelling keynote by Ms. Falguni Nayar, CEO of Nykaa, along with the announcement of strategic MoUs with SIDBI and HP to strengthen startup support systems. The event also celebrated women-led enterprises under the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup Scheme and included an inspiring address by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, highlighting Maharashtra’s commitment to a thriving innovation ecosystem. For WIF’s startup, the event offered unparalleled exposure, insights into national trends, meaningful networking, and a stronger strategic direction. The experience reinforced WIF’s mission to empower startups from emerging regions and contribute actively to India’s innovation journey.
On 24th October 2024, Wainganga College of Engineering and Management (WCEM) became a hub of ideas and inspiration as it hosted a dynamic panel discussion titled “Kick Start Your Career and Launch Your Startup,” organized by Skillship Foundation in collaboration with Wainganga Incubation Foundation. The event brought together accomplished entrepreneurs, industry experts, and academic leaders who shared their journeys, challenges, and key insights with an enthusiastic audience of over 400 students.
The panelists highlighted the importance of taking bold steps, nurturing curiosity, combining technical skills with vision, and embracing entrepreneurship alongside academics. The interactive session empowered students to ask questions, seek guidance, and gain clarity on their career paths and startup ideas.
